About
Kore Heerema (1990) discovered his passion for photography at a young age, starting by capturing portraits of friends and family and photographing the natural landscapes on holidays. As his interest deepened, photography became a more serious pursuit, leading him to collaborate extensively with musicians, creating portraits and conducting interviews with emerging artists.
During this time, he studied at the Fotovakschool and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where his focus broadened to new facets of photography. His artistic exploration expanded beyond portraits to include urban environments, still lifes, and fine art photography. Over time, his eye for detail and fascination with lights, form, color, and abstraction shaped the unique visual language that defines his work today. His photographs often transcend literal representation, transforming everyday scenes into compelling abstract compositions.
His artistic journey has already led to several exhibitions, including shows in Amsterdam. In recent years, his work has also begun to gain international recognition.
